Help

Your best source of information on how to achieve your career goals is your squadron's Professional Development Officer. Much information is online, so you need to be comfortable accessing the Internet. Many tests are found online as well. Additionally, your Group or Wing Commanders are excellent sources of information and guidance.

How To Do It

The best way to start in a Command Track is to read the regulations. Once familiar with them, work in several different staff positions over a period of several years, so as to develop a broad understanding of staff function. Make your interest for command known to your present commander and offer to work as a vice or deputy commander. Offer to serve as a commander, and apply for the job when a position becomes available.
