Chaplain - What A Chaplain Needs to Know

Serving as a CAP chaplain is a tremendous ministry opportunity. A great part of the chaplain’s ministry is through the ministry of “Presence.”  A chaplain should get involved in as many CAP activities as possible. This allows for the development of personal relationship and the ministry of “Presence.”

  • In emergency services, a chaplain should at least become a qualified Mission Chaplain and Ground Team Member.

  • It would be good to hold a rating in some aircrew specialty (Pilot, Observer, or Scanner).

  • In addition to providing moral leadership, one of the easiest ways to get involved with cadets is through the Aerospace Education Program.
