The overarching goal of any safety program is to mitigate risks, control hazards and prevent mishaps. The primary goal of the CAP Safety Program is to protect both the membership and its assets in the performance of their volunteer duties. To do this, CAP leadership and its safety program managers use both education and training to promote the culture of safety within the Civil Air Patrol.
